Working principle of CO2 Sensing Membrane
The dye on the photochemical sensing membrane exists in the form of ion pairs and emits strong green light. CO2 passes through the gas permeation membrane and reacts with the ion pair in the sensing membrane, protonizing the ion pair, thus changing the fluorescence intensity of the sensing membrane. The acid and base forms of the dye correspond to different excitation light. Under the irradiation of different excitation light, there are different emission light (green light). The fluorescence changes are captured by CCD camera and quantified by the ratio of emission light intensity under different excitation light.

At present, zhigan’s CO2 sensing membrane is applicable in the range of 0 ~40 matm pCO2.
Storage conditions of CO2 sensing membrane
- CO2 sensing membrane should be stored in cold storage away from light, keep a dry storage environment, and check regularly.
- in order to prevent the fluorescent film from being polluted or weakened, it is not appropriate to open the sealed package before use.
- when in use, do not touch the front of the sensing membrane (where the dye is) with your hands or other articles, and handle the blank substrate.
Size of CO2 Sensing Membrane
The standard size of the CO2 sensing membrane produced by zhizhi is 10cm*10cm. Customers can customize the size according to the experimental needs, and we will cut it according to the requirements.
